Hiding Past Events on Calendar View

    We are on a free plan for The Events Calendar Plugin.

    We are using a WPBakery editor Event Calendar element on a landing page with a link to the full calendar.

    Problem: past events still show up on the landing page whereas they appear grayed out on the full calendar. We want past events to automatically get hidden from the Event Calendar element.

    We checked the Auto trash option but the minimum duration to auto trash is 3 months. Also if we trash posts, they don’t show grayed out in the full calendar view.

    We would want the posts to be published but hidden from the Event Calendar widget once the date has passed.

    As always, we suggest?testing updates on a staging site?first, and having a recent backup, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you may remove them after updating.
