Hiding pages from Pages list hat aren’t needed/used, but not delete them?

  • Hi there,

    I have a lot of pages and then pages/navigation/pagination and wondered if I can hide ones in the list that I no longer used? Are there any plugins? I tried a plugin, but it just marked an item with “archived” and didn’t remove or hide it from the list.

    Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

    In which list do you want to hide pages? The main pages list table (/edit.php?post_type=page)? The pages you don’t need wouldn’t be published? They would be draft or private wouldn’t they? Why wouldn’t you just use the published pages view? (/edit.php?post_status=publish&post_type=page)

    It is possible to alter the pages in the list table by altering the query vars used through the “pre_get_posts” action, but if you prevent the pages from being listed this way there’d be no way to ever access the pages without removing the action callback.
