Hiding or moving the header

    It’s usually easier to help if you actually provide the url. Nevertheless, if you are using a page for the home page, then in the edit area of that page, you have a setting that says hide the header. That will hide it for just that page.

    If you wish to hide the site header altogether from the entire site, then you’d stick some css in the Custom Includes area of the Back End.

    You can’t move the header itself, or at least not without some CSS, but you can use the Widget Above Header and Widget Below Header to insert your banner, and then hide the regular header.
