This plugin ads spammy links and plugs throughout the admin area, masquerading as core WordPress components and features. For example, it takes over the widgets page and adds a tile advertising a free security and performance scan, only it does not look like an advertisement and is not marked as an advertisement, appearing to be a feature of WordPress itself.

  • Hey @computerguru,

Sorry to hear that this looks like spam for you. We are not using any aggressive ads, Custom Sidebars only adds advertisement on Widgets page under its own custom components (sidebars) without affecting any WordPress core features.

We have pro version of Custom Sidebars plugin and the free version doesn’t lack any functionality or doesn’t have any limit compared to Pro. The only difference is that free version promotes other products and services that we offer.

    Kind regards,
    Oguz

Mqudsi, thank you for the warning.
