• Hello Forum Buddy,

    I want to hide wp-content and theme name on view page source
    Please give me some advice, I need it for security reason.

    Could i also change the wp-content and theme name with my private name, but i do not want the wordpress and the theme to be error.

  • There’s no security reason for hiding or obsucring anything like that. If there’s a vunerability anywhere bots will fidn it without needing to know that sort of info anyway. You’ll see that if you look at server logs where you see bots combing for URL’s that aren’t there, but have known vunerabilities in them. Trust me, there’s a lot of that sort of activity out there.

    Just keep your WordPress system, theme and plugins up-to-date, and follow the recomendations in Hardening WordPress and you will be fine.

    I have known about the Ithemes Security before
    but just know that it could do this hiding thing.
    Hope it will work okay on my sites.

    Do you had faced any problem like site error or something
    during using this I themes Security – and you need
    advice from the plugin creator?
