Hide the Tools Menu (Press This)

  • Members doesn’t “hide” menu items. That’s not a good way to look at things.

    Members gives you access to control capabilities. WP uses capabilities to determine whether a user has permission to “do something”. WP will give you access to the Tools item if you have the correct capability.

    On a default (non-multisite) install, any of the following capabilities will allow access to the Tools menu:

    edit_posts
import
export
