On my multisite install, I have given regular Admins full capabilities to edit users.

However to insure that I preserve the super capabilities of the only Network Admins, I would like to hide the “Capabilities” link that now appears when you hover over a user row in the users.php admin page.

Otherwise, it seems that regular admins could mess with the capabilities of Super Admins (network admins) which is NOT GOOD.

Thanks for the suggestion. It will be useful addition to the URE’s settings.

By the way, Pro version (https://role-editor.com) allows to manage what capabilities are available for single site administrators at multisite install:

    Cheers Vlad,

Alternatively if we could just turn off the “Capabilities” link that now shows up for each user on the users.php page, that would be a nice central on/off switch to have.

I think that many people are like me and only want to control things in a role-based and not per user.

    Hi Adal,

I agree with you. I will add such option to the next update.

    Adal,

In case we hide ‘Capabilities’ link we lose the ability to assign to the user multiple roles. So I offer to still show capabilities link, but if new ‘Edit user capabilities’ option is unchecked – capabilities section will be in ‘read-only’ mode. What do you think?

    Hey Vlad,

    I see your point.

Honestly, as long as admins can’t edit each other’s capabilities, I think that’s good enough.

In Multisite those rights should be reserved for the Super Admin (even if the “Allow non super administrators to create, edit, and delete users” is checked).

I’m stoked to see that you are so active at updating your amazing plugin. It’s really a nice piece of work.
