• How can we hide the listing for an individual store?

We don’t want to delete the nice store page created using WP Store Locator, but we do want to hide it from both the map and the search results.

Changing the publish status from ‘Public’ to ‘Draft’ would not produce the desired results. Nor would changing the visibility from ‘Public’ to either ‘Password’ or ‘Private’.

Another popular plugin ??, WooCommerce, has a really nice way of handling this same scenario, although for products as opposed to stores:

“In the Publish panel, you can set Catalog Visibility for your product.”
Hidden – Only visible on the single product page – not on any other pages.”

The use case regarding this WP Store Locator support request is for a wholesale company which sells products to different retail outlets. When a retail outlet purchases products for resale, then a store page is created on the wholesaler’s map. When the retail store sells out of products, the wholesaler says the retail store is ‘Out of stock.’

When the retail store reorders more products, then ‘Out of stock’ is changed to ‘Stocked.’ However sometimes a retail store takes a long time to reorder products, and therefore the wholesaler wants to temporarily remove the retail store from the map and search results.

    Thanks!

Did you test settings the page the draft and then simply reload the store locator, or did you make a new search and it still showed up?

The results you see on page load are cached, so if you make a new search then they should not be included. Also try to flush the transient cache on the WPSL settings page.

    Sorry for the confusion.

The store listing needs to be published, not saved as a draft. Meaning we want the public to be able to access the page, but only from the page URL.

Although we want the page published, we also want it hidden from the map and search results.
