This is an interesting problem because my client for whom I installed the mini audio player pointed out a scenario that is happening more often than not:

Visitors press the speaker icon thinking that’s how they get the player to play. This actually mutes the playback so that if they then press the play arrow, they get no sound. This has happened to about 3 out of 4 visitors to the web site.

The simplest solution is to lose the speaker/mute icon altogether. However, I have been unable to find the code that addresses this in the php or css files. I did determine that a special font is being used which contains the various icons used in the player, but finding the speaker & speaker mute variation has eluded me.

Any help in how to remove the speaker/mute icon would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your help…

    Hi,
If you update the plugin to version 1.7.1 there’s a new option that let you choose if the speaker icon should mute/unmute or just play the audio.
