    Hi there

I am struggling to make this work.

I have 4 product fields in my form, only 2 of which are shown and applied to the total price at one time. My form logic is working in this respect. When a prod variation is picked, two of the 4 product fields show and those 2 prices are added to the total, which includes the price of the variation.

when I select a different variation, the form conditional logic will switch to the other 2 product fields, hiding the first pair. So I am always applying 2 products to the form and to the cost of the variation.

The problem I have is that, I have the live summary showing alongside this form, tracking the users choices – its very nice for this. It shows fields I choose and adds prices together to form a total. I have lots of examples of this working very well.

For this product however, if the users chooses 1 of the product variations and sees a pair of the additional product fields in the summary, then changes to another variation, the other 2 product fields show but the first two do not hide. The prices are working (so its not counting all 4, just the proper 2) but the summary now shows all 4 products, when only 2 are visible in he form and 2 are adding a price to the total.

    Thanks a lot

    joe

    Hi Joe,

I think there is something wrong in your form and it seems related to the product Force W 150. I tried option by option and options show correctly until that 150 option is selected. Suddenly options are selected twice it seems but only with that product selected? I would double check the logic related to that last choice.

I also think there is something wrong with the calculation in your form. If I for example select Force W 60 then I get a total of $7873 but there are only 2 options shown (Technical Cabinet Equipped for Outdoors and Modulating Pump 7mt) for a total of $4.647. So there is clearly something wrong there with that calculation as there is almost 4k difference between the total in the form and when I manually calculate the options selected.

From what I see in your form I think Its more likely a configuration problem in the form related to conditional logic. If you need my assistance to fix your form then I can recommend to upgrade to the Pro version. You can then open a support ticket on my website and attach your form export. I will fix it for you and send it back or I can fix it directly on your website.

Also a note, the premium version of this plugin was completely re-written last year from scratch and has much better support for everything including conditional logic and product fields. Perhaps worth to take a look and to upgrade: https://geekontheroad.com/live-summary-for-gravity-forms/

Have a great weekend and good luck!

thanks for the response. I will look again at the force 150 W

That is a variation in the main product and the form contains product fields to add additional products to the total.

The discrepancy in the Total price you refer to comes from the price of the product variation itself plus the product addons that the form picks for the user – for example, the Force 60 3224.45

in terms of the conditional logic, there is only 2 groups at the moment

    1. All variations except the 150 will choose two product addons
    2. the 150 variation will choose two alternative product adding

In tests, both sets of addons will show based on the conditional logic rules related to the variation choice, but neither addons will hide again (in the live summary) when the form logic hides the fields based on the variation choice.

update: for anyone reading this, the problem is gone when I turn OFF the animated transitions in the G form settings

@aliferis Thank you for sharing your experience and I am glad you found it. I did not think of it yesterday but It is true that the animated transitions are not compatible with the free version of this plugin. Do note that the premium version does support it ;-)!
