When a user selects a theme or keyword in the filter form, all days and sessions open, and only workshops are shown or hidden. If a session has no workshops that meet the criteria, it remains visible and open but empty.

This means users must scroll past many irrelevant sessions to reach the content they wanted to see. (For example, someone who wants to see the program sessions for our upcoming conference must scroll past a whole day of preconference sessions first.) Some also forget they selected a filter, think the sessions are collapsed, and click on them–but nothing happens. Only then do they realize they have to scroll back to the top and reset the form if they want to see other information.

Is it possible to hide the sessions and days with no workshops that meet selected criteria? I don’t see a CSS class I could use to target these headings.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Unfortunately this feature isn’t practical to implement at the moment – there would be a significant performance cost (the interface becomes much slower) on a system that is already not as responsive as I’d like.

I’m planning on rebuilding the entire frontend interface code to improve performance, but that is a larger project and I can’t say when it will be done. I will certainly consider adding this feature into the code during the rewrite if possible.
