• Hi,

I’m using an external mail server to send mails from my website which is on its own server. Now I did this to avoid showing my server’s original IP in email headers. Server is on Centos.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you are using your built in mailer to send mail from your WordPress installation then it won’t work. The mail relay obtaining the email from your server will append the IP and DNS name if it’s available. That is not really something you can prevent.

You can try one of the SMTP plugins but even using GMail, Outlook.com, Yahoo, etc. will append your IP address to the SMTP headers

Thanks for the reply. I’m using WP-Mail-SMTP but unfortunately it doesn’t have the option. Does anybody know of an SMTP plugin that would allow me to do that?
