    Hi guys !

This plugin looks just like what I need.
I created a new product, added a dependency, and the warning shows up if the needed products aren’t already bought. So far, so good !

But I was wondering if I could hide the product from the product list, and only show it once the needed product was bought ?

WP, WC and all plugins are up-to-date :).

    Thanks !

    Hey @petipain,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Indeed, you are right that if the ‘Ownership’ dependency is not satisfied then a notice shows up when trying to add the product to the cart. Hiding this product from the Shop Archives until the dependency is satisfied is not currently possible.

To achieve the result you have in mind, we recommend implementing a custom coded solution. If you’d like to proceed with this, it might be a good idea to hire a Developer to help. For WordPress/WooCommerce customizations of this scale, we highly recommend https://codeable.io/.

Feel free to share your experience with us if you decide to take this path!

    Hi Jason,

thanks for that quick response ??
I can’t really afford to hire a developer for now. I’m one myself, but not skilled enough to override your module or to create a solution for this I’m afraid…
I was hoping to create a css rule to hide the product, but it has no custom class I can target.

I’ll dig into woocommerce documentation and see if I can another solution ?? !

Thanks anyway, and have a nice day

    Hey @petipain,

    Thanks for the follow-up!

It might be worth taking a look at WooCommerce Memberships as a possible workaround for this case: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-memberships/.

Taking a look at their documentation: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-memberships-restrict-content/#section-3, it seems that it is possible to restrict specific products for specific users based on which products they previously purchased.

To make sure that this is indeed possible, we recommend reaching out to the WooCommerce Pre-Sales team before purchasing this extension!

Let us know if this helps!

I found there to be several issues trying to use woocommerce to purchase a membership from Paid Membership Pro. I was using the plugin from the GitHub repository: https://github.com/strangerstudios/pmpro-woocommerce

The plugin did in fact work but caused some errors on the My Account page when the user had no invoices…

I may use it for the address sync though and sell products and memberships…

    Hey @crandellws,

    Thanks for getting in touch!

We are not sure how the issue you describe is related to Product Dependencies — it looks like it is about Paid Membership Pro.

In case you encountered any issues with using Product Dependencies, could you please post a detailed report in a new thread?
