Hide Posts From Blog Page

I am trying out a free theme that has a slider option which uses the post and feature image part of WP but it also shows up as a post in my blog. I was wondering if there was a way or plugin that would hide a post from everywhere on the site except the slider where it belongs? I tried contacting the theme developers but they want money to create custom code for it and I’m not about to pay for something that I’m not even sure I will be using yet. Any ideas or direction?
