Hide posts from archives?

    If we have multiple memberships, is it possible to hide posts that members do not have access to from the category archives?

    So there’s an “all access” membership, they can access everything, but another membership that is “limited” and only has access to specific posts. All posts show up when going to a category even if the member doesn’t have access to it. They just get redirected to join the higher membership.

    Currently we intentionally show restricted posts in the archives… Some users want this functionality although we’ve definitely received feedback over the years that some users want these posts completely hidden (the way you’re describing).

    I’m at the point now where I’m not sure whether or not either way is correct so I should probably just build an option so admins can choose their preference in the membership settings… However, I do not have an option for this currently…

    I just took a look at what it would take to add this to the posts query via some custom code and unfortunately it’s going to be a bit more complicated than I’d like so at this moment I’ll have to say that I’m sorry but we don’t have the ability to this today.

    I’ve noted it on our internal request board and I’ll discuss it with the team later this week and see if we can add it as a feature to be developed in the near future.

    I’m sorry and I hope you can make due without this in meantime.
