Hide Post is not working on home page

    I’ve tried the fixes that were recommended 3 years ago and they didn’t work for me:
    Changed to:
    function wphp_is_front_page() {
    return is_front_page() || is_home();
    }
    Please help. I’m spending way too much time trying to get WP Hide Post to work and failing.
