hide pingbacks

  • using theme 2010 (1.3) I forgot to upload my akismet and left the ” Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks) ” box checked then went away to allow .rss feed to do all the work on this site. returning yesterday I found 57,230 pingback links on the site. I uploaded the key and unchecked the box, but how do I modify the theme to not show the 57,230 comments/pingbacks on the site?

    and is there a way to trash them all. When I try a bulk trash from the dashboard, I get an error message that the string is too long.
