Hide Page Template for anyone other than admin

I have a bunch of page templates and my site is multi author. I dont want to confuse authors by showing all of the page templates.

Is there a simple code I can place maybe in the functions.php to hide certain templates from anyone other than the admin?

Also does anyone know of a good plugin for simplifying/ customizing the create post page, again if possible for anyone other than the admin.
