Thank you for using Paid Memberships Pro (PMPro).

You can use PMPro to restrict users’ content by creating unique levels for each member type.
Your site can have a Free Company Level and Volunteer Level. Members can then sign up and choose one, or you can assign one to them.

Restricting content by roles would require custom development.
