Hide Meta Data on Full Page Slides

I’ve determined that it’s the fullpage slide that’s displaying the meta data with a transparent, centered white background. I’ve tried just about everything to hide the meta data and edit link, but I can’t figure it out. I’ve tried, when publishing a full page slide, to go into screen options in the upper drop down menu and unchecked the boxes that say display author, date, etc., but it still displays it. How do I hide it?
