  • Hey @yas-se,

Thanks for reaching out with your question! At this time we don’t have a way to hide the chat bubble for when people first visit your page. It’s possible within what Facebook offers with their chat library, though the plugin is missing the option in the front end.

We’ve got an internal request for this though, and I’m happy to add your vote for it! Our developers are currently working on the latest version of the plugin which offers better connectivity and brings back some of the visibility and sync features we introduced in earlier versions. Once this is released, I’m sure our product team will be looking for the next big items!

In the meantime, it may be possible to hardcode the change to avoid the pop-up appearing by default, though I must warn you that this would be overridden and removed with each plugin update.

Is this something you’d still be interested in, or are you happy to wait for a future release?

    Cheers!

    Simon.

In my case, I’m facing a problem with the Algerian dinar.

In woocommerce the symbol is in Arabic while my website in french so what I did is create a new custom currency for the Algerian Dinar (DA) when I try to update Facebook catalogue it says that the currency used is unsupported (no ISO detected).

    Hey @yas-se ,

This is Pit, stepping in for Simon.

Thank you very much for reaching out to us again. Happy to help with your questions! ??

Hardcoding the currency it’s possible, however, even if you proceed with that change, the issue may persist since Facebook may still not recognize it. Our plugin can’t affect this information since it mainly handles connecting your products to your Facebook Shop. Changes in the currency can be done through your WordPress site as mentioned above, but this isn’t something that we can help directly as customizations aren’t covered by our support policy.

If you’re interested in hardcoding the currency, there’s a code snippet that can help you here. Before making any changes, please be sure you know how to add custom code to your site. Personally, I like the free Code Snippets plugin method.

You can view the snippet here: https://gist.github.com/ef6b08b71dbc4432b6af469aefc557b3#file-sv_fb_for_woocommerce_hardcode_currency_for_all_products-php

I hope that’s helpful. Could you let me know if there anything else I can help you with?

    Best regards,

    Pit
