Hide Logo but not header

Hi, I have created my own header for my website. I do not need the use of a logo at this time. I have. mostly edited and viewed my website in Safari. I just discovered, when checking the availability on Google Chrome that the “logo” still appears as my site title and mini broken image icon. This only seems to happen in chrome though, where as in Safari everything appears to be fine.

In the theme customization settings under site identity I have unchecked the show logo box and even set the logo size to 0, hoping that would help.
