    I have an issue that users cannot hide or show themselves in the directories. I did have it set that they were hidden by default so they could choose to show once they had completed their profiles. There are still some new members that did not show despite deactivating, reactivating, re-applying their role, approving after deactivation. I used WP Sheet Editor Users Pro (nice tool peoples) to change their profiles from “true” to “false” a number of times to no avail. Some more fiddling of editing their profiles and user switching didn’t work either. Is it possible this is a database caching issue? If so how can I resolve it? I have turned off object cache at WPEngine (nightmare aggressive caching issues all round). Thank you

    Try to Clear User cache at the UM Dashboard.

    Yes I did clear user cache in the UM dashboard. I had 5 new users register and not one of them was showing in their designated directories after they selected to show. It took me an hour of cache clearing, deactivating, changing hide to true, false, true false and back again. They eventually showed but the reason for my success was not due to trying all the usual trouble shooting methods in any defined order. I found that changing the setting in their Privacy tab as the user didn’t work after trying multiple times to hide/show either. Usually with UM there is a setting that has been overlooked and a simple fix so I was hoping for that on this issue too.

    Deactivate the UM User caching at UM Settings -> Advanced -> General

    Member directory settings

    “Allow users to hide their profiles from directory”
    will enable/disable the radio buttons in all User’s Account Privacy page.

    “Hide profiles from directory by default”
    will update all User’s settings in their Profile’s Account Privacy page
    where the User’s setting is different from the default setting.

    Privacy Setting

    “Can make their profile private?”
    will show the dropdowns with Privacy and Indexing selections

    I have the Disable User Cache already checked.
    I have the set the Hide profile visible so they can choose to hide if they are not available for work (important).
    I have Can make their profile private is allowed (same as above).

    I have just had another new registration and even though they should show by default, they are not. Their settings are to Show in the directory. If you go to https://www.weweed.co.uk/find-a-gardener/ and put Dunoon in the location search, the member is not showing.

    Thanks that made me do a test directory without Locations and the members are showing in that. I will open a support ticket.

    The new member Lin Lay is showing for admin in a non location map based directory, but not for public or other logged in users. Here is a directory without the locations map https://weweed.co.uk/test/. Lin Lay should be the first user not the Papava user. I am opening a support ticket as well and just updating you here as well.
