In my site I have almost 30 user roles. I want to hide a menu item for only one specific user role. But the plugin has the option to show an item for one specific role.

Is there any option to inverse the selection, so that if a user role is selected then that menu item will not be visible for that user?

    Thanks

@anjanphukan – Sorry for the delay. I remember typing a reply for this so I’m guessing it never got submitted.

Ultimately no there isn’t an easy way to do that in our options. I suppose we could add a new field to choose whether the selected roles are allowed or blocked. Will need to think through it conceptually and look at the code. Honestly this plugin has been pretty much 0 support since release. Hardly any bugs or feature requests since release so haven’t looked at the code in a while.

Thanks @danieliser. I am sure this additional feature will make the plugin even better. Best wishes.

@anjanphukan – Added it to our github. https://github.com/JunglePlugins/User-Menus/issues/3

The change wouldn’t be massively difficult but I have been extremely limited on spare time as of late, so hopefully someone will submit a PR for it in the mean time, otherwise I will add it in the next few months as soon as time permits, would love to get a few other tweaks added in this plugin as its been some time since it had a good update.

Hi @danieliser, Thanks for the update. But for the time being I ended up using this plugin – If Menu.
