Hide featured image

    When I create a gallery and set a featured image, and navigate to the gallery page, I see the featured image and under it the gallery. On the gallery page, I wish to hide the featured image, but there’s no interface to accomplish that.

    Note, if I remove the featured image, that issue is gone, however then the gallery won’t have a thumbnail in albums, and in other places I recon.

    My theme provides an interface to hide featured images in regular WP posts, but in a Gallery post, that interface isn’t there.

    Unfortunately, I don’t have a quick and universal solution for You. But WordPress developers have it – the Site Editor (the current version of WordPress) allows you to edit any element on your page (delete / add), and also create templates for individual posts/pages. You can also use CSS to hide the featured image or contact your theme developers for support.
