hide event calendar on frontpage or restrict to single page

  • hi!
    i am working on a wordpresssite. it has the event calendar 3.1.0 plugin running, integrated as a sidebar widget. i want to keep the frontpage nice and simple.
    question 1: how can i hide the event calendar (not the event posts) on the frontpage?

    question 2: can i tell wordpress to show the calendar only if someone clicked on the link “show events”?
