Which correct way? There is only 1 way to update the plugin… Could you provide information how to update?

The plugin updates directly from the dashboard (like other plugins).
“Correctly” refers to the rename of fields after the upgrade.
Take a screenshot of the field group edit screen before and after the update please.

After so many tests, I am unable to replicate this bug. I suppose it’s a question of compatibility with other plugins or themes.

The easiest and fastest solution is to update the plugin and change the field ids manually as before.

If certain types of fields cause problems, use “text” as the field type.

Out of 50k downloads, I only received 3 reports for this issue.

I thought from your edited review that you would not use this plugin anymore… ??
