Hide directory profile does not work

Hello,

On my site, the option to “hide my profile from the members directory” is not working. Some users have selected this option and their profiles continue to appear. How can I fix this?

Note: Make my profile private is working well! When someone tries to access the profile it is redirected to the homepage. The problem is only in the directory where the profile keeps popping up.
