    Hello Danniee,

    Thanks for reaching out about hiding the date in SERPs.

    Unfortunately, there is no option in?our plugin to prevent dates from showing up in the search results. Ultimately, Google decides whether or not a date is shown in the search engine result pages. There are a few ways to influence this, but this is beyond the scope of our support on Yoast SEO. What we can do is refer you to a source?here?to learn more about this.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

    Isn’t this meta info coming from your plugin?

    <meta property=”article:published_time” content=”2022-03-18T01:40:46+00:00″ />
    <meta property=”article:modified_time” content=”2022-03-18T16:28:41+00:00″ />

    If so, is there a way to remove it, because I am pretty sure it contributes heavily in my case to Google displaying date. Thanks.

    Hey @danniee,

    Thank you for your reply.

    No, we don’t output those meta tags. But we use date-related information into our Schema.org graph. Maybe you want to look at https://yoast.com/help/date-appears-search-results/#h-managing-dates and the links towards our Schema API documentation if you want to remove certain parts.

    Hm, are you sure? I Actually managed to remove that published meta tag by adding a filter in functions, which I found here in your support forum. Also, when I deactivate Yoast, those two meta properties are removed. So I am pretty convinced they come with the plugin.

    Hey @danniee,

    Thanks for your reply.

    My bad. I was looking at the wrong source in another window/local site. Yes, the OpenGraph article meta tags are indeed outputted on posts. As you already found the relevant filters, I’m happy to read you’ve managed to do it.

    Yeah, it seems to work. Now I will see if Google will stop publishing the date in SERP. Might take a while to see changes, I know. I don’t really see any other dates in the source code. Could I be missing something else? Cheers mate.
