    Hi,

I suggest having the option of being able to hide columns or rows in the visible table, but being able to manage them in the back-office.

Sometimes you need to have data temporarily available to manage the table and not have to locate it outside.

    Greetings

    Thanks

    Hello there.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

If you don’t want to allow site visitors to un-hide hidden tables (something you can do with Column Visibility Table Tool), you can still access settings of the tables you chose not to display on the front-end by clicking on the “Column List” button. From there you’d be able to access column settings.

Since wpDataTables is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) concept-based plugin, the back-end and the front-end look the same, so if you hide a column from the front-end, it will also be displayed in the front-end.

If we understood you correctly, your suggestion would be to hide the column from the front-end, but still see it in the back-end, as an admin?

As for rows, at the moment, you can only hide rows by applying some custom CSS based on Conditional Formatting rules, but that would only hide the row, so if you hide 3 rows on the 1st page, where 10 rows are displayed by default, that page will show 7 rows to the user on the front-end. This is because the row is still there, it’s only hidden with custom CSS.

We’ll look into improving this feature as well in the future.

    Kind regards.
