    Hi,

I am looking for support with hiding an advertising banner below the header for a specific user role. Thanks in advance.

The use case is a user buys a product from category: course (rather than exam or book). They should then no longer see the big banner at the top of every page trying to sell a course. At that point they have been assigned one of the courses user groups.

While purchasers of books or exams, or not logged in users, should see the advertisment.

Do you have any advice on how to make this plugin work for this application either by purchase history category or by user group?

    Bw,
    Ben

    Hi @benorange,

Thanks for reaching out. I have a couple questions to help identify a solution to your use case. Are you using a specific plugin that is generating the “user groups”? Also what plugin are you using for e-commerce?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best,
    Nick

    Hi @ndiego,

Thanks for follow up and sorry for the late reply. As my use case is a single element ‘hide’ and we are plugin heavy.. I am going with a new function in functions.php that I’ll call before any html on the pages that need it. The function will check user group in wp_usermeta.

The user group meta is added by ACF and ecommerce is a few woo plugins for interest.

    Bw,
    Ben
