From your description, it sounds like this change may require some changes to the JavaScript of the theme – I would recommend contacting the developer as they may have a snippet for this. Try this code, it may work but I am not sure if it may change the site otherwise:

hiding this via css is a solution, the other is to modify or overwrite the jQuery file.

but, when we click “add to cart” 2x out the notification that the product cannot be added to the basket again,
example You cannot add another “product name” to your basket.

The easiest way to change that text would be to use a translation plugin. I like using Say What? for small changes like this. It could also be changed in the code, but that is a bit more complex.
