Hide Basket Pages setting not working

  • Thank you for offering the “Hide Basket Pages” setting. I believe it is intended to allow users to select pages on which the Basket does not display (it might better be called “Hide Basket on Pages”).

    Unfortunately, the basket displays on our site on all the pages for which we inserted slugs into the field for this feature. One page on which it does not display, where it would actually be useful: the Checkout page.

    Suggestion: offer a way for users to choose on which pages they want the cart to display, instead of the opposite. On our site, pages on which the shopping cart is relevant are a minority.

    Selecting the “Continue Shopping” button seems to simply close the Side Basket. This makes sense when users are on the Shop page. If they are on the Home page, however, or any page not displaying products, users might expect selecting “Continue Shopping” to take them to a shopping page.

    Update – I discovered why the “hide basket on pages” feature was not working for me: I had a space between each comma and the next slug. When I removed the spaces, the feature worked as expected.

    I suggest either warning users not to include spaces in the list, or make the system not treat a space as part of a slug name.
