Hide askimet button from public view

  • Hi,
    is there an easy way for me to hide our askimet button from the front of our blog
    If I make it inactive, does that mean it would not be working?

    Yes, You can remove the Akismet “Spam Caught” widget, and still stay protected.

    Chances are, you can disable this widget by viewing Appearance -> Widgets in the admin menu, You’ll be looking for the Footer “Sidebar” in most themes.

    If the footer widget area/sidebar is empty, you can often add a empty Text Widget and you’ll find that empties out the sidebar.
