• hi,

I think this theme is really beautiful and have it installed on a development site here- https://0407750.netsolhost.com/wordpress1/

I have a question on the appearance of the Front Page:
Is it possible to hide the list of most recent articles that appear below the “Featured Content”? I think the Front Page is so clean, the long list of article makes it appear very cluttered.

If this is not possible, could I work around it by creating a custom page with a slider and featured section, then making that page my “static” front page?

    thanks,
    Kyle

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi Kyle,

By default, WordPress will display your latest blog posts on the homepage. However, these can be removed by setting a static frontpage. I’ve found a particularly good tutorial over at YouTube which you may find helpful:

Thank you very much! I had tried this earlier but the static home page setting took away the slider and the featured content.

I created a new page named “Home” and made that my Front Page, and then all the front page assets like the slider and the Featured Content blocks were all in place.

    Follow up questions-
Am I able to change the footer background color in the Free Version? Or can I only do that in Pro?
I would also like to change the initial color of the links in the Navigation. I like the onHover color, but would be interested to know how to change the initial color if that is an option in the free version.

    Thank you again!

    Hi Kja,

Pro version has advanced theme options panel which allows the custom styling for almost every content of the site. More can be found in Appearance > About Alante > Free vs PRO.

    Thanks!
