    Hi,

by activating the option “Hide Admin Notices” this also disables the notice under the plugin updates “A new version … is available” with the link to update a plugin.

    This does not make sense.

It would also be good to have an option to disable or move notices only for certain user roles.

    Thanks!

Hi @qriouslad, sorry for the delay of my response and thanks for the fix and your offer. I will write you about this via contact form.

The changelog for version 5.8.0 mentions:
[CHANGED] Admin Interface >> Hide Admin Notices: This is now limited to site admins only. Editors, Authors and other user roles will see notices as usual.

It would make more sense to have an option to decide which user role could see or not see notices.

    Examples:
Me as the admin would like see the notices, but I would like hide notices for a certain user role (e.g. editor), because the notices are not important for him.
Or in another case I would like hide the notices for all users including admin

    Thanks!

@computerbuddha no worries and thanks for the feedback. Most if not all admin notices that are sort of annoying are shown only to site admins. Do you know of plugins that show non-core notices to non-admins?
