This is definitely possible but there are limitations with the free version, let me explain.
With the free version of the plugin you can create 1 customised admin menu. This customised admin menu can be targeted to a specific criteria of users and/or roles. Now the pro version works the same way but it doesn’t have the limit of creating just 1 customised admin menu, you can create as many customised admin menus as you want, and have them targeted to different users and/or roles. So depending on your requirements, you may want to get the pro version. The pro version is a lot better anyway as it’s completely redone and it’s pretty cheap.
