    Hi,
Recently the hidden URL doesn’t work anymore for our forms. It only shows the main page but not the subpages.

    Hi @fmlmarketingcom

I hope you are doing good today.

I made a test on my lab site and I placed Hidden Field as Embed URL and placed a form on many pages. Each time in my email I get the correct URL from the page where the form was sent.

Could you export your form, upload it to google drive or dropbox, and share a link in your next reply, so we could review, test it, and most important be on the same page with the main issue.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Here is the link to an exported form.

We have a total of 50+ forms where this sometimes does not work. Do you want more examples?

    Hi @fmlmarketingcom

    Thanks for response!

We don’t really need more examples but we do need the form itself ??

What my colleague meant was if you could, please, export the form itself and share export file with us.

This way we could import the form and test it on our test sites and that often helps a lot in issue identification.

To export the form (one of those affected would suffice):

    – go to “Forminator -> Forms” page
    – click on a little “gear” icon next to the form
    – select “export” option and then use “Download” button in the popup that shows up

This will give you a file with a code so put that file on your Google Drive, Dropbox or similar service and in your response here post direct link to download it.

We’ll then be able to import such form to test setup and check its settings, test it and so on, which should help us get closer to solution.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi @fmlmarketingcom

    Thank you for the form.

I might be missing something, I can see two hidden fields on your file and when I click on the link it sends me to the correct location.

    https://monosnap.com/file/ec0Pg84Ex3B76i44ETAqX6BSk6aaoZ

I also tested it on my lab site and it worked well: https://monosnap.com/file/I1hN78EBOFlAocdSMZjaO4swc04uTY

The shared form is just cropping the info: https://monosnap.com/file/EdndvZkYKkh0n0HKF1IgambnCTjxhd but the full text is there, https://monosnap.com/file/ec0Pg84Ex3B76i44ETAqX6BSk6aaoZ

Let us know if we are missing anything.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your response.
As you can see, we have 100+ developments.
    https://setonspain.com/new-development/

So now when we receive a brochure request, it does not show from which development it was requested. See the example mail below that we receive:

You have a new Brochure Request:
    Full Name
    D Jenk
    Email Address
    [email protected]
    Phone Number
    07976760
    Gdprcheckbox
    true
    IP address
    158.172.129.79
    Development
    https://setonspain.com/new-development/
    ---
This message was sent from https://setonspain.com.

But the hidden URL must indicate which one it comes from. And sometimes this does not work. Then we have to go and look at submissions ourselves to see where this person filled in the form.

The form I sent you shows it too. One has the development name in the URL and the other does not. Why doesn’t this work anymore?

    Hi @fmlmarketingcom

    Thanks for response!

I checked the site and I see the issue there (even without form submission). The form hidden field is set correctly but on your site I can see in page code that form gets that “fixed” URL. This is unexpected indeed and the field should have exact URL as you see it in browser.

Two most common reasons for these are related to cache and how the page content is rendered (at theme/page builder level) so before going any further with this, please do test these settings:

in form’s “Behavior” settings there is “Load form using AJAX” option and “Prevent page caching on form pages” option – both under “Rendering” section and both currently disabled; try enabling them (Ajax first, then caching) and see if keeping any of them or both at once solves the issue for you.

Note: when making the change to any of these settings, make sure that after form is saved you clear all the cache on site/server.

If none of that fixes the issue, update us here and we’ll see what to do next to deal with this.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hello @fmlmarketingcom ,

We haven’t heard from you for a while now, so it looks like you don’t have any more questions for us.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards
    Kasia
