• A great piece of software. If you’re even considering implementing mailing-list features with any sort of rigor–especially if you’re using your site for commercial purposes–40 Nuggets is the way to go. Simple interface, incredibly handy metrics, and the developers are very responsive.

  • Bmcarbaugh –

I was so sorry to see this review, and wanted to thank you for bringing this issue about our description to our attention.

    We’re taking a few steps:

    1. We’ve updated the readme and put this very explicit sentence up top: For more information on pricing and plans starting as low as $37 see https://www.40nuggets.com.

    2. Our trial will now extend to one month – we’ll update this on the Readme soon

    2. We’re considering a basic free-forever plan so that folks can get value out of their test implementations beyond the month. We will update about this as soon as we see if we can swing it.

It was absolutely not our intention to deliberately bury the cost of the software in the description (we had it in the FAQ), and I’d never want us to come across as being “underhanded” about our pricing, as you wrote in your review. Please allow me to explain: we initially built the WP plugin as a bridge for our existing customers that had WP. From our website (www.40nuggets.com) you can see that our plans are pretty clear. As we saw more downloads from new folks, we started to generalize the plugin and create a new user option – and simply didn’t catch the description up with new user expectations. I regret you had to find it out after investing so much valuable time.

If you’re open to it, we’d love to return that time to you and provide you with an extended trial of the product. Just email myself (aharon@40nuggets) or Chaya (who should be reaching out to you today) at any point and we’ll set you up.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review so we could fix the description and experience for future users.

    My best, Aharon

The fact that you guys reached out and took action so speedily speaks for itself. And I’ll reiterate: it is a great plug-in, with a glut of excellent features.

(Heck, since you’ve fixed the problem, I’d take this review down if I could.)

Reviews are not deleted here but you can revise the star rating you gave to the plugin by re-visiting it’s page.

Thank you bmcarbaugh, we appreciate it and hope we can stay in touch.

And thanks esmi for the tip. I’m new to WP forums but am excited to start reviewing and engaging with our users here. I had the chance to meet the head of WPTavern in Ohio recently and got totally jazzed about WP and the community.

Update: we’ve now extended our free-trial to 30-days, and reflected that in our description.

I’ve update my review to reflect the changes. Cheers, all!
