Hidden on Mobile elements still visible

I have just started building a site and some of the elements on the page are unnecessary clutter on mobile so I selected “Hide on mobile”. When I collapsed the elementor side panel to see what the page would look like on a mobile the “hidden” elements were still visible. I deactivated FEP and the hidden elements disappeared as they are supposed to.
