    Hi,

I’m trying to segment multiple forms on my site using hidden interests however they don’t seem to be working when I conduct my testing. I’ve followed the instructions of adding my interest group to the form and added my default selection.

I’ve tried to log out and log in of my WordPress and MailChimp accounts. I’m considering re-establishing the API to see if that helps. I just don’t understand.

The example form is at the end of the page for the link I provided.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @michaelofei,

I just successfully subscribed using the first name YIKES Test. It looks like the data was properly sent by your website. I also received the email with the subject “Welcome to the Minimalist Blogging Newsletter.”

Can you check if I am properly on your list? There doesn’t seem to be an issue for me.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

    Hi @yikesitskevin,

Thanks for testing the form. You’re right. Your submission came through beautifully. I’m not sure why it didn’t work for me and a developer I’m working with. Perhaps I need to try in a new browser?

Can you do one more test and register to the form on this page https://minimalistblogging.co/club/ but untick the box to receive the newsletter?

I just want to be able to segment my list by people who wish to receive the newsletter and people who just want to express interest in our forum community. So I’ve set up a hidden group on this form to signal to MailChimp that subscriber is interested in the community.

    Does that make sense?

    Hi @michaelofei,

Yes that makes sense. I’ve subscribed to that list as well (box unticked, and used a different email so it wouldn’t conflict).

Are you testing the form with email addresses that were already subscribed/deleted/unsubscribed? That can change some things. You should also read up on the submission and opt-in settings as they can affect things too.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

Also, I selected the option for single opt-in on all of my forms in Yikes, however, it’s still defaulting to double. Can you confirm if I’ve missed something?

I see everything worked as intended! Yes, I’ve been playing with my emails which are already on the list. Thank you for your help!

It’s single opt-in. Both times I subscribed it was single opt-in. But okay! Sounds good!
