Please check your browser console for error messages. When I checked the plugin was not active.

The plugin uses wp_footer, wp_enqueue_scripts to load the scripts in the webpage. As long os the theme loads the scripts it should work. Try adding the plugin again and reply on this thread i will take a look.

Note: When the user closes the login modal it will not re-appear as per google docs. refer – https://developers.google.com/identity/gsi/web/guides/features#exponential_cooldown
