Hidden gem of BackupTools

  • I bought BackupGuard Pro and and like it very well.
    After figuring out how everything works, it’s my set and forget workhorse for backups now. Cause it has the right amount of options to handle individual needs, but not more.

    It is very easy to setup then. Installing and setup with 2 different scheduling Backup-Plans (Monthly full, weekly Database) with FTP as additional destination need less than 4 Minutes.
    Migration and also restore work fine. I’d needed both this year and i was not disappointed.

    I had some trouble with large files above 1GB transferring to my FTP. The support was very outstanding here and finally found the failure on my side, having a missing FTP option on my server. To be not alone with problems is worth half the price for professional plugins. The support i experienced so far is very very good. Fast and solution-oriented.

    Some features like incremental Backup and integration in MainWP are on the Trello Wishlist and are high rated. I think they will come sooner or later.
