Sorry, could you elaborate on that? I’m not sure which option you’re referring to.

It’s the hidden from everyone icon, an eye with a slash over it, don’t know how else to explain it. It hides a particular item from being seen at all on the dashboard for people that you don’t want to see it.

Do you mean the toolbar button that hides the selected item without making it inaccessible? That should still be there, but the icon was changed to a rectangle with a dashed border a couple of years ago. It’s the 4th button from the right.

Ok well things have changed so let me just ask you is there any way to hide the WordPress About page from the menu? (page: about.php)

Normally, that page is hidden by default and it doesn’t even appear in the menu editor. If it’s visible, there’s probably something else – like another plugin or theme – that makes it visible. Are you using any other plugins that customize the admin menu? Try temporarily deactivating them and see if the menu item disappears.

It’s not hidden. I tried it on a fresh WordPress install (no other plugins at all) and that page is still visible. Just to reiterate, I’m talking about the “W” icon about.php page in the top left (to the left of the Home icon/visit site). I know it doesn’t appear in the menu editor but was wondering if there was a way to hide is. I tried even adding it in the menu editor, and although it did deny access to the page once click, it didn’t hide the icon from the nav. I would be prefer that Administrator role only see that and have it totally hidden from other users.

Ah, you’re talking about the Toolbar (a.k.a. Admin Bar), no the left-side admin menu. It’s impossible to edit the Toolbar with Admin Menu Editor. If you want to do that, you’ll need to either use a different plugin or get the Pro version of AME and the optional Toolbar Editor add-on.
