    Hi there,

    First of all, great plugin!
I run into the same issue everytime I update the plugin, so after a year I thought I’m gonna get in touch ??
I use hidden fields (interest groups) in my Mailchimp forms and after every update the plugins form builder says the field doesn’t exsist (it also doesn’t show the options anymore).
When I remove it I can add it again, but that’s not the way of course. It shouldn’t get broken. Any ideas on how this could happen?

The form does work properly with the broken field by the way. I discovered it back then by coincidence when I was looking in my Mailchimp account and saw some subscriptions with no interest group filled out.

I am using WP 4.3.1 and Yikes 6.3.0.

    Thanks for your support!

    Hi @ldwd,

I’m not sure why the form says the field doesn’t exist but a lot of times old forms can have trouble updating/recognizing updates in MailChimp. If it’s an old form, we often recommend re-creating the form with our plugin (using the same list). Does everything work when you remove the field and re-add it?

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

    Hi Kevin,

Old, what is old? I made them about a year ago. And since then the issue exsists.

When I re-add the field it works like a charm (but I don’t like to re-add every time again and again ?? ).

I will make new forms and keep my fingers crossed ??

    Hi @ldwd,

In terms of our forms, a year is old :-). I understand that re-adding the field is a pain. There is most likely a disconnect between the form data and the MailChimp data (for some reason our form is keeping a field that MailChimp has changed, or something like that). I am not sure why this happens, but creating the new form should keep the two in sync. I will keep a look out for any places in the code where these disconnects could occur, but as I said I am not sure where/why it’s happening at the moment. Also, we’ve released a minor version this morning (6.3.1) so if you haven’t updated already you could try making a new form then updating and check if the error persists.

    Kevin.

Well, haha I updated the plugin and…. the old forms don’t get broken! Which is good of course, but I just spend some time in making the new form (with translations and all), which now seems useless ??

Nevertheless I am happy the forms don’t need to be fixed and I will keep the new form for future testing whenever there is another update.

    Thanks for your support Kevin!

Sorry you wasted time – but glad it’s working.

Feel free to drop by any time with comments or questions.

    Cheers ??
