When you copy the “green” URL directly below title from a google search results page and paste it in the source URL, the control panel accepts it, but it includes hidden chars at the end that make redirects fail.

Any chance the source URL field could either display hidden chars or not allow them? Looking at other support requests, I’m guessing a lot of the people who have inexplicable issues are having these hidden chars in the URLs, it seems logical to do a site:domain.com google search to see what needs to be redirected, but copying the urls off the page doesn’t work unless you clean the hidden chars. I would be interested if anyone else is able to copy a url from Google SERP and get a redirect to work without having to delete the last hidden char.

  • Hi @john Godley

I’ve checked the urls. None of them have extra characters or spaces after the end of the url.

Interestingly, I’m just seeing that all of Target urls are files that I have uploaded to the server. Almost all of them are pdf documents that have a .pdf extension.
