  • Invisible as in a completely blank page, or are just certain elements missing?

Are you using the same thing you were before you upgraded?

completely blank page… yes i was using the same browser , everything, no IE , but safari, firefox, opera and chrome, im already going to just erase it and re-install it again, i figure all i have to do is

copy the config and settings files
    copy the customized template
    erase the site
re-install and hook it back up to the original mySql..

at least then ill know if it was A, or B..

i was just wondering if someone knew if this was something happening to other people, it seems like it could be quite the nuisance … i was intending on learning something completely different today and have fun with my weekend but noooo, now i gotta fix wordpress … bah.. bah humbug to the maximum!!

oh well, i fixed it, in the end after :

    1)downloading my customized template folder
2)downloading my configuration file with database info
    3)un-installing the wordpress installation
4)re-installing wordpress ( previous version before the maddness )
    5)re-uploading my template folder
6)altering the config file to match the previous mysql account information so that all of my posts will return un-harmed.

the last thing i had to do after logging in as an administrator was to click yes to upgrading mysql database because it was a necessity for some reason i guess.. but everything is back to normal now =)

for anyone else that comes across this problem, I have used an auto installer for my wordpress installation so that is why i had to alter the configuration file after installing even though it would seem wiser to just enter that information during the installation process, i have explained from the auto-install point of view because most people install wordpress this way..

Happy Blogging! and thank you very much for your response SpencerFinnell
