Hestia Theme Uninstalled Itself, Now Issue with Home page
-
Hello!
Yesterday for some reason the Hestia theme (which I love, btw, and thank you so much for having created it), uninstalled itself. I reinstalled it and everything seemed to be working just fine.
However, I just clicked on the home page on the menu bar and discovered that it is linking to a different page than the site url links to. The site url links to what I want it to – the front page section created using the customizer. The home page button on the menu bar, though, now links to the home page I created when I first created the site. This didn’t happen before the theme uninstalled itself yesterday.
After re-installing Hestia, I did go into the customizer and added the About section in the front page section of the customizer. I didn’t include any text, just a picture. I tried disabling that, but it made no difference. (I did not uninstall the pic I uploaded but did disable the section.) I enabled it again so that you can see the site with things that way so you can see if there might be an issue there.
My host company said that this is a theme issue, not a hosting issue, so am checking with you to see if there is a solution. If the issue is with enabling the about section in the front page section of the customizer, is there a way to remedy this? I would like to be able to keep the home page on the menu bar and have that link to the site url and also have the about section in the custommizer just show the pic.
Thank you so much!
