• Hey,

I would like to customize the hero image so that I can manipulate the buttons using siteorigin button widget and to use different font options for the overlay text. As it is now, it uses the page title and excerpt and the two buttons (customized with the Hompage settings in the customizer) I have no idea where the image is saved, but I can easily change it in that same menu. However if I try using the page builder, there is no row to edit for it, and adding a row, I am still left with demo image.

I have tried starting from Scratch instead, and the success stops at the fact that I can’t get the Extended header option to work, where it makes the top header bar transparent. I’ve been working on this for about a week now, and it’s getting tiresome. I have other issues as well, but I think I would need to go to the site origin fourms for that.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I guess part of my question, where do you go to edit the link buttons that overlay the header image and where did the team put that Nebula image in the Page. Cause I don’t see it anywhere by default, I can change it (or just overlap it) by using the Featured Image in the page editor or the Homepage settings background option in the customizer. But Idk where that file is for any of the demo pages. None of them have the header image visible

I can only get rid of the Nebula image be deactivating the Extend header option, but of course, then I can’t extend the header. Maybe this theme just doesn’t work

    Hello @reckgear,

    thanks for choosing Bento!

TO answer your questions first, the action buttons overlaying the header image as well as the image itself are editable in the “Static Front Page” tab of the “Appearance – Customize” admin section (more info – here in the theme manual). Each page’s individual image is sourced from the page’s Featured Image (thumbnail) and overrides the previous setting.

Regarding your specific use case – I’d recommend trying out the Hero Widget of the included visual content builder – it allows adding an image or slide show with overlays as well, with some additional custom font/styling options.
