• Hi All – I have multiple websites running on their own installations/databases/users within IIS. I’ve noticed that some websites will update a plugin when I click update and some will return this error:

Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

Many of the threads I saw didn’t look like it was for an interface we are using. Maybe it’s not IIS? I’ve tried to compare the permissions from a high level and they all look the same. So I am stumped.

ALSO – Are you ready for this….?

I have been manually updating plugins, dropping them via ftp and refreshing the dash and they’re updated. I did notice however there are some errors in the error log which I want to say has to be related to a permissions issue with the user/database. I see the ALTER, UPDATE and some SQL, etc.

I’m lost on where to start, and what to do. Anyone have an suggestions as I am using IIS. I appreciate any feedback!
